Sky Glass is a TV like no other and it presents an innovative opportunity for more people than ever to enjoy Sky’s brilliant catalogue of entertainment. And without the need for a satellite dish, TV box or separate speakers. Clever features include voice control and your very own personal Playlist. While streaming apps from platforms such as Netflix, BBC iPlayer and Amazon Prime are all built in.
Our goal was to tell the nation. So, we joined forces with partner agencies Venturethree and AKQA to form a bespoke brand hub that would tackle this colossal campaign.
1.3 billion impressions in OOH, an 81% share of voice within a three-week period and a reach of over 10 million from press cover wraps in The Times, The Sun, Metro and The National.
The first phase was ‘The Spell’. This was all about unveiling the first TV ever made by Sky, with Sky inside.
Then came ‘The Wizard’. In collaboration with the Greatest Showman director Michael Gracey, the magic of Sky Glass is showcased through eight enchanting films.
We went just as big online with immersive stories on social platforms where Sky Glass was available to buy directly. We crafted a series of triggered emails and dynamic retargeting ads too. The results speak for themselves: 1.3 billion impressions in OOH, an 81% share of voice within a three-week period and a reach of over 10 million from press cover wraps in The Times, The Sun, Metro and The National.
Smarter than a Smart TV
Sky launched Sky Live, an interactive, cutting-edge smart camera. It enables Sky Glass owners to transform their TVs. And it was our job to let the nation know that Sky Glass was now even smarter.
So we built on the success of our original campaign and evolved it as we made it our mission to spread the word.
Sky Live demonstrates even further why Glass is ‘Smarter than a Smart TV.’
We shot two new vignettes to illustrate the evolution of Sky Glass. A touching father-daughter story showcased the Watch Together feature, while the journey of a recent yoga convert brought the Workout feature perfectly to life.
